Every day is a busy day.
The children celebrated the Chinese New Year. The human Chinese dragon dancing around the room to gorgeous magical music was a sight to be hold.
Our topic has been keeping healthy. Understanding why being in the fresh air and going for walks is good for us physically and mentally. Eating fruit and vegetables and making healthy choices. The children chopped up vegetables and made soup, it tasted delicious. They made lovely print pictures using cut up vegetables.
We read the book Handa's Surprise, and role played the story. The children learnt about new fruits. They practiced their cutting skills by cutting around pictures of fruit and gluing them onto a basket, just like the one Handa carried.
The children have also been enjoying some sensory play outside. Using pulses, beans and dried peas, filling pots and mark making through the beans. Steph from Croc n Roll made a visit and the children sang, danced, listened to a story and popped bubbles.
