Welcome to Woodchester Playgroup

Woodchester Playgroup has been established in the village for nearly 30 years and although times have changed our belief that the children are here to have fun and learn through play, remains the same.

Having our own building is a great advantage; this enables us to keep all of our equipment out at each session, giving the children a greater choice and more scope. It also means that we are able to have paint, glue, sand/water available at each session.

This pre school runs independently of Woodchester Primary School but enjoys close links to the school. We have signed Gloucestershire County Council's Agreement to take the Achieving 2 Year Old funding and the Free For 3 & 4 year old funding and take children from the age of 2 years 9 months..

We are a registered charity and to enable us to keep our fees low, we rely on various fundraising events throughout the year. We depend on your help for this. All parents are welcome to our half term committee meetings where any ideas regarding fundraising/planning are very welcome.

To play, press and hold the enter key. To stop, release the enter key.

Most of our income comes from the funding we receive from the government's nursery education scheme and the fees we charge. As a charity we also run various fundraising activities which bring in extra income that allows us to improve the quality of the learning experience we are able to offer. We are a completely non-profit organisation and all the income we receive goes into providing the services we offer.
