Welcome to Woodchester Playgroup
Woodchester Playgroup, established over 30 years ago, is set in the picturesque grounds of Woodchester Primary School overlooking the beautiful hills of Stroud, Gloucestershire. We take full advantage of the beautiful setting, having an open plan play area, large windows and an easily accessible outdoor play area. Each day the playgroup offers an exciting range of activities as well as following the 'in the moment' play principle.
Although the preschool is run independently of Woodchester Primary School it enjoys close links to the school. We have signed Gloucestershire County Council's Agreement to take the Achieving 2 Year Old funding and the Free For 3 & 4 year old funding and take children from the age of 2 years 9 months..
We are a registered charity which enables us to keep our fees low.
Our Sessions
At Woodchester Playgroup we take children from 2 years & 9 months to school age. We are open during term time only, our daily opening hours are below:
Monday: 9.00am to 3.00pm
Tuesday: 9.00am to 3.00pm
Wednesday: 9.00am to 3.00pm
Thursday: 9.00am to 3.00pm
Friday: 9.00am to 3.00pm

Funding
Most of our income comes from the funding we receive from the government's nursery education scheme and the fees we charge. As a charity we also run various fundraising activities which bring in extra income that allows us to improve the quality of the learning experience we are able to offer. We are a completely non-profit organisation and all the income we receive goes into providing the services we offer.
